Praxity are the world’s largest alliance of independent accountancy & allied services firms. Participants within the Alliance, comprising Members, Associates and Correspondents, are all independent, retaining their full autonomy - finding the best solutions for achieving their clients’ goals.

The Problem

Praxity were in a situation where they had a website and extranet created in SharePoint 2007 that had become fragmented over time. Visually the site looked dated and lacked required functionality. Internal workflows were very labour intensive with customer data stored in multiple locations.

The main aims for the public facing website were to help users locate accounting advisors and encourage new firms to join the alliance of more than 30,000 professionals. The methods in which the locate an advisor tool worked meant the user had a substantial journey to navigate to individual advisor details. The site used Adobe Flash for interactive elements, this meant users on mobile devices were unable to achieve key targets.  

The Solution

Praxity required a complete solution to manage their member information, manage content on the website, advertise associates and offer key information for members. We made the decision to implement Microsoft CRM for member management and SharePoint Enterprise 2010 for website and portal management.

Using these tools, business data is managed in a structured central location and allows:

  • Membership data management
  • Content management with publishing features
  • Access controlled content
  • Events creation
  • Workflow management
